Andrew's First Week

Andrew has had a good first week home. We have been dealing with jaundice this week which has meant he has spent all of his time on a UV blanket and we have had daily trips to the hospital for weight and bilirubin checks. We are becoming pros at that. The good news is the levels had started to come back down as of yesterday. We are waiting to here today's results to make sure they don't go back up.

It worked out o.k. since we also had to make a few trips to the store for things that we were not prepared for. Preemie clothes were the first thing needed. All of his newborn clothes were too big, the poor little guy was swimming in his clothes. I also has to start supplementing with formula and we didn't have nipples for the bottles. You kind of need those.

Mom has been here all week so and it has been great! We are eating good, the house is the cleanest it has ever been, and Matthew and Adam are getting special attention. I hope they don't get used to having a nice warm snack for them when they get home from school!

Matthew's excitement for Andrew spread to this class. All of his classmates made cards for Andrew. They were so cute!!!
