Life is at Beach...at San Pedro Lake

Another week of the summer has flown by....Matthew and Adam have been at Grandma and Grandpa Tempel's since last Sunday. Did they have a blast!!!! Their days were spent swimming, fishing, eating, fishing, eating, fishing....not a bad life. I think mom enjoyed it?!?!? She spent her days sitting in the heat on the dock making sure her little angles were entertained. I hope that one day they appreciate and realize how great of a childhood they have. My summers were certainly not as exciting and packed full of activities as theirs are. I did get to enjoy a little of the good life at San Pedro over the weekend. It was time to bring Matthew and Adam back home to reality for a week. While we were there we helped Carol with a yard sale, visited with Mom, Dad, Aunt Mary and Barb, and fished. We had a great fish fry Friday night. Matthew and Adam think it is the best thing in the world to eat the fish that you have caught. They couldn't wait to share it with me. It was good. There are plenty of blue gill, sun fish, and cropper to catch. Every once in a while, if you are really good, you will get a bass. That is what Matthew is after. He has caught a few and it is a really big deal when he does.

It is Freedom Festival time here in Fishers which means a fun Festival. We spent Sunday afternoon at the festival watching dogs catch Frisbees, making crafts, shooting water balloons and for course, the parade. Sunday evening we enjoyed a great fireworks display. I was worried how Andrew would do with the noise but the little trooper didn't even wake-up!

When is this parade going to start already!!!

Speaking of the little monkey....he is now 14 weeks old and getting bigger every minute. I think he was a little bored this past week with Matthew and Adam being gone. There was no one in his face, touching him all the time, being goofy for him. He seems to be really happy they are back. He has started to drool like a faucet and discovered that he can turn all that spit into fun sounds blowing bubbles. He is also getting really good at holding up his head while he is on his belly. He almost has the rollover....He is still amazed by his toys and is starting to use the ones on his activity gym as a punching bag.

Tonight is Matthew's All-Star game. I will keep you updated on how he does!
