Lazy Days of July

Summer is moving along at a fast rate of speed. It is hard to believe that the boys will be back in school in only 3 weeks! They have been enjoying the past two weeks at home playing with all the neighbor kids. The creek is a big toy for them. The 4-H fair was this past weekend. Matthew exhibited two projects in mini 4-H; collections and foods. For his collection he took pictures of all of his Star Wars Lego's and made a scrapbook of them. Foods was a breakfast pastry; biscuits rolled into figures 8's dipped in butter, sugar and cinnamon. They were really good!

We also had pictures taken this past week. Hard to believe but Andrew was 4 months old on Monday. He is still as cute as ever. He has a few new tricks. He likes to dig his heels into the ground, lift his butt and scoot. He moved across the floor the other day doing that! He also loves to do this on the changing table....makes it hard to change the diaper! He is just about ready to roll over. He will get his lower body over but can get the shoulder and head. I started to feed him cereal on Sunday. He was not very interested and kept gagging. I tried again on Monday and he did better. We will keep trying!

We had our first Wii injury occur this week. Adam was playing Mario Sluggers Baseball and whacked his eye with the remote. It was black and blue; the pictures do not do it justice. The next day we were at the fair and he was balancing between two chairs and one of the chairs flip and whacked him in the other eye. It swelled really big and turned black and blue. He gave himself two black eyes within two days! Silly kid!
